I make my own Nerf-ish swords. They're quite a bit lighter than Nerf.
Espy, don't be ashamed of being a girl with a sword. Some of the best swordfighters I've had the pleasure of locking blades with have been female.

I think I've gotten over a lot of my ashamed-ness for most things via KGB, to be honest. And that HvZ game definitely got me over being embarrassed when people wonder what the hell you're doing, carrying around a rope of socks.
Well, the problem with Nerf swords are that they ARE too light, at least for me. Granted your hands get tired after a while, but since they're so light, your instinct is to stab and not swing as you would an actual sword.
Damn. I don't think there are any Targets north of the border yet, I heard they'll be opening some up here soon...but I haven't heard of the opening day date just yet. :( Oh well, I suppose I could wait a bit longer... >w>
I'm sure Amazon has a ton. They probably can also be found at Walmart and Toys'R'Us. The only reason I didn't go to those was that there are none nearby.
Mm, I guess. I'll take a look at WalMart and Toys 'R' Us later, but the ones near my house are totally not as well-stocked with stuff as other ones. =w= But I'll see if they have any...
