(/rolls eyes)
I didn't state that I was anti-drug to start a fight about stupid shit like caffeine.
If I wanted to argue about it, I'd make a thread dedicated to eeeeverything you can get addicted to.
Hell, you can get addicted to McDonalds, or chocolate, or fucking sardines in a can.
(/throws hands up) All this does is make a pissed off Path when people shove their ideals and opinions in my face as if it's going to change my own.

And to answer your question, Sevvy, no, I'd rather the potheads keep their shit in their basements and out in the streets when I'm not around.
Not on the curb, lighting up a joint and causing discomfort to everyone around them.
They're bad enough as it is now, there's no point in giving them more encouragement because it's ''legal''.
And might I remind you, I'm Canadian. We aren't a shit-can country.

forgive me but i see so much hypocrisy on 'anti drug' opinions and like to mention that things like tobacco, amphetamines and the like can literally fuck you up so bad you can die or have deformed offspring and those are legal. the cow meat /you/ eat is full of hormones that are illegal in many countries and yet no grief is raised on it

on the other hand to i am not for legalizing pot either since i am actually anti-drug it just means i feel like it is getting unfair penalization in a country that encourages it's people to do even worse drugs just to make a profit

Don't get so butthurt bro. I was referring to US as a shit can country as it is trillions in debt at the moment. I think your anti-drug rampage is just a matter of perspective and experience. I've met some dumb-ass people who smoke, and I've met some near geniuses who smoke. It's relevant to the person and not the people surrounding them what they do, and if they end up doing something stupid, that's all on them. Don't force things on other people, and get mad when they bring up a point that you failed to mention. Again, I understand your point, but it's very flawed.

To be continued...

All I have to say is gosh I wish they would just sin tax the damn thing and call it a day. States get money people get pot. Easy.

or you know make it like gambling, attach its benefits to a good cause and bam its good. xD. Like an Education lotto.

pog, there is a lot less money in taxing pot than prohibiting it, making it illegal gives a lot of people jobs whereas taxing it would leave thousands unemployed and make less money for the government
Default #4136
How so? I don't think the massive network of drug dealers and cartels count as having a job. It would certainly clean up places like Atlanta and Detroit. And honestly cho the cops would still be able to bust meth labs or black tar.

there are places where there are cops and detectives and such whose sole job is drug-busts, where i live more people get busted for pot than meth. there are helicopters that are used to find pot-fields and siuspect homes, there are undercover and standard cops who spend their time looking for drugs, mostly pot. we are a collage town there are /three/ headshops in town alone, prolly five or six not counting the ones that sell 'water tabacco pipes' on the side, confiscating pot is lucrative because you can fine heavily and let them go to recatch them later, potheads are less likely to be impoverished a lot of middle and upperclass people do it and the more people who /can/ go to jell the more prisons and jalors that can be had so more funding, this is good for food and clothing manufacturers and since pot is not legal headshops can get taxed out of the ass for being tobacco related and not a soul can bitch
Default #4138
Cho you forget that where there is one drug there will always be another one. As soon as the cartels realize they can not make money off something that is legal they will come up with something more potent. Those who do those jobs will be diverted into doing other jobs or you get new jobs, like the phillip morris factory in Virginia. Which provides 6000 jobs just to pack cigarettes.
