Default Button/Badge/Pin (first post edit) #1
I'm gonna stat making what I'd always called "buttons" but some people call pins or badges.

Basically the circular things you pin on your shirt or bags or whatever that say witty things or have images on them.

I plan to sell some of them and see if I can't get some sort of money headed my way even if only a piddly amount. xD

So what type of things do you think people want to see on buttons?

I was considering doing pokémon badges to start with....

Edit: I've learned a phrase for them that everyone seems to understand: Pin-Back Buttons! xD

Anyway, mom is really pushing for the button making as a business. xD

And I have, after looking at the cost of supplies and the tools, decided to sell them for $1.75 USD per 2-1/4 inch button and when I get them $1.00 USD for the 1-1/4 inch size. :3

If someone provided me an image/told me what to make yeah I don't see why I couldn't make custom ones. :3

Edit: and the tool I ordered to make them will arrive on the 9th-ish.

I saw someone have those on some headphones, it looked so cool but before I could get them they were all sold out. Maybe you can do the same and make some nice money.

Oh, and let me know so I can get in line! 0w0

So based on supplied for making the buttons and printer ink... I'd probably ask 2.00-/+ for a two and a fourth inch button.

I've sold one and a quarter inch buttons before. I used to do custom ones where I'd write people's names in Japanese. Sold them for a dollar each. I sold about 200 at the first con I tried it but as the con got busier I actually did less business since I had more competition ^_^*

In my experience people do buy more small buttons, since there are plenty of people who collect them and put tons and tons of them on their bags. Also, you want to make sure you're drawing your images yourself. I can't really tell from the picture if you did or not, but I've run into people using screenshots and such that they just printed out and slapped onto a button, and that's pretty sketchy since it isn't your own art.

...anyway, that turned into a long ramble XD

The buttons I have made as my test buttons were things I pasted together from parts on the interbutts. Since I was testing out my maker and print qualities I didn't wanna put too much effort into it. xD

But when I start selling I'm wanting to do my own art as much as possible. But I'd need a tablet for my own art to be "uniform" and I don't have one yet. Mom is getting me one for christmas, though.

Also wanna start pixeling stuffs. xD
