I'm not ready for the Holidays, either... I've already come to terms with the fact we're NOT having one. And that I'm not having a birthday, either. No money, no transportation, and I actually told my mom I'm giving UP my birthday, so she could use the little money we DO have, to make sure Zane, and my Sister have something for the day. =]

I'm working on Christmas cards as a break from school and such. Brain petered out just as I finished my quiz so it's break time. Anyone want a Christmas card? Can't send too many since I need to go easy on the stamps. Maybe we should have a trisphee "seasonal holiday" thread where people can leaves cards or pictures and such for the holidays. :)

My mom's birthday is tomorrow and we're taking her out to dinner. My sister, her husband and I are getting her Plan Canada donations in her name for her birthday, since she has enough stuff already, though I got her a stuffed animal Meerkat anyway. She likes things like that. She's commandeered my beanie baby sea otter.

And I wanted to make a secret santa gift giving thread... but realized many people don't have the funds for that kind of thing this year..

Ick, right, that time of the year where I have to have a lot of awkward conversations.

I make some xmas cards for people this year but no paper xp

The way to do that, Batty, is to set an aurum limit, like 2k or 5k or perhaps different categories for each, and then let the santa's decide what to spend the aurum on, so people might get one big thing or a cluster of little things. If you make it common gifts or store items, then the values will be more or less comparable.

That's where you use newspaper or something and colour it. I still do that sometimes. I painted some plum blossoms on plain brown paper for my cousin's baby shower and wrapped her gift in it. She really liked it.

Or even just use the Sunday comics page, which is already colorful!

I'ma ask the neighbor lady if she has any printer paper..

My cousins have been using fabric scraps and sewing gifts. I did that once on an evil gift wrap job for my sister. Sewed fabric around it twice along with the many layers of tape.

Thanks DK. Recovery is faster than I expected. So far I have no fever or anything that signifies an invasion within me except for the pale red spots on my skin.

no need to worry, as of now they're slowly fading away thanks to the proper medication i am getting. i feel perfectly fine.
