8D Mine is from Legend of the 5 Rings (L5R). Daigotsu is the Spider Clan Founder and badass. He sacrificed himself to get his clan recognized by the empire, to set up a good life for his son, and through that became a God.

Why, thank you. I can geek out about Daigotsu all day (and I have). I play in a Table top L5R campaign currently where I am a Spider Monk who is religious on a zealot level. I constantly say "Praise Daigotsu", enough so that my friends and I exchange those words randomly in conversation. It's hilarious, actually.

I even play the CCG where I play (can you guess it?) Spider Clan.
