Sadly, I actually haven't seen many non-chain coffee shops in Los Angeles. Starbucks and Coffee Bean have flushed them out, except for the ones the hipsters know about, but I'm not a hipster and I don't know any. There are zillions of donut shops and bakeries, but I haven't had time to iterate through them to see who sells what, so I just go with what I know.

And yes, I know about the hole-in-the-wall places. I discovered Carnitas Tacos Michoacan a couple miles down the road from my place. Good stuff.

Uh... luring Coda is difficult, as Coda works two other jobs besides Trisphee and prefers to spend what little free time he has with his family. :x

That's not weird xD. Lots of people feel that way. In fact, right now, if you were to throw a batch of Disneyland tickets my way, I would give them away in a heart beat. Now if we're talking about Six Flags hmm hmm <3
