Some advanced math is. The beauty of pure math is that it's all about logic, so everything is pretty much required to make sense. EEG interpretation sounds fun. o3o

Gaius, does all math make sense? Isn't there maybe like some 0.0001% that doesn't quite make sense, that is not quite all that logical? EEG interpretation is wondrous. It's like turning on the lightbulb for some people when you interpret it correctly. I remember this girl she was 22 years old, been on the psych ward a few times because she would just be in bed or resting and then suddenly she would sit up and yell about weird stuff like fruit and it wouldn't make any sense. And she would do that for maybe 20 seconds and then go back to sleep or reading or whatever. And actually her EEG looked totally normal. But my fellowship director was a genius and he started subtracting out electrodes from the EEG until all that were left were the frontal electrodes and darned if when she sat up and started yelling about fruit we then saw there was rhythmic activity there which was totally consistent with frontal lobe seizures! I guess I get excited about that stuff, but she had been in and out of psych wards and she was actually having seizures the whole time. Amazing stuff! /crazy medical rambling

I am sure I don't know all math at this point, but still I am fairly confident that all math is logical, for the simple reason that math is a notational and often numerical form of logic. It's not always intuitive, if that's what you mean. What's actually correct is not always what would seem to be correct, so in that way it doesn't always "make sense". But one can always employ logic to reason through mathematical situations that don't seem to make sense and find that they, in fact, do make sense.

That's an amazing story! Like something you'd see on TV. You're essentially watching the human brain in action; I can see perfectly why that would be exciting. ^^ I have taken some physiological psych courses at college, and I am completely fascinated by the neurobiology of cognitive processes and all the neural interactions and chemical processes that take place.

The brown is going to be one of the hardest parts. What I've been working on so far keeps going black, yellow, and the green from bewitched...

Y'know you can use any colour from Bewitched right? It doesn't have to be the green. Though, I suppose if you wanted a challenge...

Yeah, I've just gotta work with it some more. I've never been really good at brown and yellow.
