I would say.. maybe 2 - 2 1/2 years.. started getting the hang of Anime style than gradually started toward realism.. Many people are shocked when I say I did all that with just my built in mouse, no tablet involved, cause many people say that is harder to learn with mouse.. I actually disagree.. tablet is much harder..

Wait, when you say, 'built in mouse', do you mean a trackpad or an optical mouse? :o

Well using a tablet requires hand eye coordination since you're hand's drawing on a tablet, but you gotta look up at the screen. (Unless you're using a cintiq tablet of course. :P)

I have a laptop so I would say it's a trackpad through I do own a separate mouse but to me, it will always be a mouse than a trackpad. :p I'm old school in my ways.

I have a bamboo tablet. I asked my friend before I purchased and she recommended it.

Mmm, I don't have a choice. I haven't got an optical mouse, I used to, but I don't know what happened to it or if someone else in my family is using it. XD

Nice. If I were to get a tablet, I'd save up to go big and get a cintiq. But I'm not going to do that cause I ain't gonna use it much, and it'd be a waste of a thousand dollars to buy and not use it. >_>

Cintiq tablets are the ones that Wacom makes where you can look at your tablet as you draw, rather than relying on hand-eye coordination while screen watching. :3

*shrugs* To each their own. It seems really handy to use, I just don't use tablets in general, nor do I need them out of necessity, so I won't be wasting money on them. XD

I think they're mostly useful for actual professional artists, which I clearly am not. XD

Good afternoon, Dai! How are your doing today?

I'm the only one who messes with the other mouse. XD and the tablet.. I paid for the cheapest I could get in town. I know I'll be giving it away when I return to the States so I wasn't going to spend that much on one.

I'm doing good, though my throat pain went from a "This sucks" level to "Ridiculous" over night.

That's a good sign of healing, though, so I hear.
