Living Dead Dolls -One down, Saving for Ava now- #1

I know these have been out for years but I currently have grown interested in owning one of these.. creepy dolls.. and just proves that yes, Dawn needs to be locked up in a mental hospital.. but than.. what doll collection is not complete without your very own.. undead doll.. (hey, feel sorry for the bloke I'm going to be marrying down the road, not only has he got to accept my cat, he's also going to have to accept my whole doll collection as well and last I checked, not including the few special barbies and Liv dolls I have, I had over 20 dolls, some still stored in their boxes.)

I have found a few that have piped my interest mainly through by surfing on E-bay.

Dolls Dawn is officially going to be owning:

Chloe (Just won her on E-bay for 12 pounds!! I'm seriously screaming.. she's missing the CB/DB and I need to find out if she is wearing nail polish or if it's really ink on her. If not, I have a nice lady in England selling me a hopefully complete Chloe for 30 pounds -another nice little bargain seeing how much others have been asking for her-

And if so, which ones are your favorites?
Any pointers for someone just getting interested into collecting a few of these dolls?

I want to get some, too! I don't have any yet, though. I think I've seen a few on Ebay when I was looking around. I love cute/creepy things. ^ ^

I really love the resurrection series.. especially the last set that came out, they have glass eyes.. my favorites out of those are Demonique or Blue but since you can only find them as a set or from the US.. the prices are high..

I am considering preordering Asa..for some reason, she has really caught my interest and I have been chatting with someone about obtaining Chloe for 100 dollars.. opened of course.. to get her unopened I would have to spend a fortune..

If someone else wanted the other three dolls in the set Peggy comes in cause I know Ava is part of that set, I would of been willing to split the cost and just order the set cause at times, you can get the full older set less than the cost of purchasing one of the dolls at times..

I'm still glancing around in hopes maybe a Chloe will get put into auction and I can win her that way cause she's actually the one I really want to get my mitts on.

there was one of those in my sisters closet that i found, it fell out of the box and i screamed bloody murder lol. it landed on the cloths thankfull, or i would have been dead my self

I have a phobia of dolls especially porcelain dolls. though the living dead dolls are somewhat...cute.

I have quite a small collection myself. My mom found out about them and back than, I think I was never that interested.

Also, think I may of snagged an Ava and.. I have a bid on a Chloe. XD little bit over 40 pounds but I feel since she's a more rarer doll and seeing some of the prices people are asking, if I can get her for 80 pounds or less, I'ld be happy but doubting I'll win her cause there's lots of people looking for her, all depends on the price someone is willing to go.

I don't know why, but those dolls freak me out for some reason.
I like the dolls, but they just scare me.

There's a few that scare me.. like Issac.. had thoughts of getting him cause he's always selling cheap but I got close up and.. bam.. was like.. too creepy for me.. the dolls will be displayed with the rest of my collection so.. I want ones that won't freak me out during the middle of the night when I wake up.. probably why I preordered Asa, she looks quite normal but I am wondering her backstory/poem is going to be. And probably getting hold of one of the newer dolls is the best way to go, instead of shelling out quite a bit for one of the older dolls and not liking them, thus having to get my money back through auctioning, where I know if I don't fully like Asa, I can hold on to her till the new series comes out and resell cause the female dolls are always more popular and put the money into one of the dolls I like better.

Dolls really freak me out unfortunately. I can appreciate the beauty - but spending too much time with them gives me the shivers. Feels like spiders are crawling all over my skin.. Or something to that extent.

I've seen these dolls but I cannot fathom owning one. I like dolls, but ones that are purposefully creepy disturb me to no end. I dought I could a sleep a nights worth if I had one of those in my room.

I have a maybe on the one doll I want. Someone is willing to do payments for one if she doesn't sell. Might ask my family overseas to keep tabs out for a Nohell in auctions or something.. I love the dress she wears..

Em, yeah but our versions of cute are very different.
Though, I like the first pic you just put up. She doesn't look all that scarey, kinda cute. Still not the type I'd want to own.

That is true, everyone's versions of cute is different but than I own pretty normal dolls, my most loved is still my old fashioned bride, kind of wish there had been groom when I got her.. I only have three male dolls in my whole collection.

Xezbeth is one I would like to get to be honest, just something about her.. I have preordered one called Asa which looks like she's going to be a huge hit when that series comes out.

Plus I want a little variety to my collection, I don't own anything dealing with horror, etc. And I'm huge into that area plus the doll doesn't have to be in the same room. I can always sneak her into Mom's room and hear her scream at 12am when she thinks a demon has invaded it. -coughs-

Haha, oddly enough dolls that are trying to look creepy seem less creepy to me than dolls that aren't.

I had to go there. :3 But yea, there's clowns.. the first one, Cuddles is like mega rare to get.. ranks up the same with Chloe and Dawn in terms of rarity.
Captain Spalding is fairly new from my gathering of glancing around Ebay and the Mezco forums.
The last, I am not sure.. I would say not the most popular but still pricey.
