Mizuki growled though as he watched the beast he could tell the next attack was one he was not going to escape from. Turning he bared his back to the claws of the beast as he sheltered the childern. Though the blow that he was expecting didnt come. Instead he turned and watched as Thalion forced the beast back. "Oh thank the gods..." Mizuki breathed out as he watched the beast growl before charging again.

However that charge fell short as the beast landed on the blade of Thalion. Mizuki watched as the male forced the beast from his blade as he panted. Mizuki knelt there with the crying kids as he sighed. Though Thalions words were what made him blink "Besides a mini heart attack and a cut up arm..im good" He said with a nod of his head "I mean it could of been much worse" He said with a sigh.

From there Mizuki smiled down to the young ones clinging to a robe clad chest "There there..." Mizuki said softly holding them. This was when Nytria backed up a little. Still crying the boy wiped at his eyes as he spoke "Pa...pa" He said in gasps of air "Your hurt...cause of me" He said as he started to cry harder "No no not at all" He said wiping a pale face "Papa is fine" He said kissing a forhead "It was your daddy that saved papa" He said with a smile.

Before he could say anything more to the young boy he was gone. Looking up he watched as a crying young male ran and latched him self to Thalion "IM SORRY DADDY!" the child whined through his tears. Mizuki smiled sadly at the display "Now now...nothing to be sorry for" He said standing with a now calm Belquiri in his good arm "However..I say thats more then enough fun for this evening and its time for bed" He said looking at Belquiri "Don you agree?" He asked her getting a tired nod as answer.

"Come on...lets go home" Mizuki said looking to Thalion. Mizuki knew that the way his arm felt it wass not that bad of damage but none the less it needed to cleaned and rapped the longer it stayed this way was leaving it to infection. "Besides..." Mizuki said as he looked to Thalion that was now beside him "I think that was a long enough walk for this evening" He said with a little laugh

A mini heart attack, yeah that was one way to put things. Either way he could breath a little easier as minus the gash Mizuki had everything else seemed to be ok. Though he hated how close that had come. To think of all the things they had been through and a mere mountain lion nearly took care of all of that.

He was putting the blade away as Mizuki tried to calm down the still crying young ones. Though Thalion was still a bit alert after that just to make sure that there wasn't a second one or something else out here. Though all seemed rather quiet now aside from a child still sniffling and saying it was his fault. In a way it was but the same thing could have happened without him running off. They would have taken this direction back to camp anyway.

Though not a moment after Mizuki assured him that no it wasn't his fault was when Nytria seemed to cling to Thalion's leg before saying sorry to him as well. After Mizuki spoke up again was when Thalion shook his head a little moving a little to pick up the still upset Nytria. "Everyones fine little one, Papa's right it's not your fault. Though maybe it is a lesson learned not to go running off hrm?"

Nytria seemed to nod a little still clinging to Thalion as he was being held. After a few moments it was agreed that this was enough 'fun' for one night. Though as Mizuki laughed at the walk being long enough Thalion smirked a little. "I recall running.. what is this walk you're speaking of?"

Never the less the group made it back to camp with no more problems. By this time Nytria had settled back down and was nearly asleep with being carried. Neimi asked what happened seeing Mizuki's arm was bleeding and cut. This was when Thalion took the two children to bed so Mizuki could at least clean or start cleaning the wound. Probably getting roped into telling Neimi everything was fine.

After a few moments Thalion sighed shutting the door behind him to the other room. "Well they are asleep.. after convincing Nytria that we would have probably ran into the giant kitty anyway." Giant kitty what the hell was he saying. Though at the least everything was well, they all were safe now and the wound wasn't that bad on Mizuki. Things could have been a lot worse..

It took them a little amount of time to reach the camp but why the time that they did both kids were almost asleep. It was not until they reached the house and Neimi started asking questions that Nytria began to stir again. Giving Belquiri to Thalion he began to convince the female that everything was okay. He ended up explaining everything to her as Thalion placed the kids to bed.

"Look...it was a long night...we are all alive and got out with just a scratch...I could us as lucky" Mizuki said looking to Neimi "Now if you excuse me there is a hot bath awaiting me then a warm bed after that" He said dipping his head to the female as he heard a huffed good night from Neimi.

Shaking his head lightly he entered the room before closing the door behind him. From there he went and started the soon to be hot bath. Mizuki entered the room again and began to remove his robes as the door to the side of the bed opened and Mizuki watched as Thalion came back into the room explaining what he just went through. This caused Mizuki to smile some "Yeah the giant kitty would of found us non the less" He said with a little laugh.

Mizuki after that gave a little hiss as he moved the ripped fabric from his arm. The dry blood making it stick to a sore pale arm. Though as it was removed he tossed the robes to the side and stood there in nothing but loose fitting pants. Looking at his arm he cringed a little at the four long jagged lines on his arm. They were lightly bleeding but mostly just looked sore...and they were.

"Huh.." Mizuki said looking at his arm before he looked over to Thalion "Shows me to pay more attention" He said lightly with a little laugh though he got some smart comment from Thalion about thats what the training was for and he growled a little at that "Kinda hard to so that when you have a scared child in one arm and a screaming one in the other" He said with a nod of his head.

This was when he moved a little to Thalion before lightly hugging the male mindfull of his arm "Besides..." He said as he rested his head on the males shoulder "I dont know what I would of done...if we lost him" He said with a little shiver at the thought of it. Not to mention the sinking of his heart that he knew the male before him could feel. It was a worry and a thought he had the moment he realized that Nytria was missing. It scared him.

He frowned a little at the laugh. "Shh you... I wanted him to go to sleep not have to explain that there are different types of giant cats in the world and that most of them would love to eat him as a snack." Most seeing as there were some breeds that were used for transportation in certain areas. But he wasn't overly familiar with those so hardly important.

Mizuki spoke about paying attention more as Thalion shook his head a little. "Yeah or work on perfect a certain spell that you know might work as well.." Seeing as even paying attention there was still a large disadvantage of seeing in the dark or not. Though the next comment he sighed at, wasn't that the truth. They were lucky neither one of them had been hurt. Shaken up a bit but not hurt.

Thalion agreed with Mizuki and how he felt towards the idea that they could have lost either of them tonight. his ears went back a little hugging Mizuki in return but minding the wounded arm all the same. "Well.. we were lucky. Though I doubt we have to worry about someone running off again any time soon." He laughed weakly, though it was true. Though it still didn't help Mizuki feel any better. "I'm sure there will be worse that happens during their life times." He sighed at the thought. "We just have to be there to protect them when they need it." Saying to protect them from everything was impossible and wouldn't allow them to live their own lives once they were old enough. But they could be there if they were ever needed.

"Now.. come on you, I already know your plans before you even walked in the house." He said rolling his eyes a little. Bath, after any outing Mizuki's first thought seemed to be bath. Granted least there was a reason why this time around, the wound wasn't deep but it was bloody enough.

Protect them as needed...that was a big statement from Thalion. Mizuki knew that they wouldnt always be there to protect them but if he had any say in it then he would be there every time that he was needed. Judging from the emotions he got through the link he could tell that Thalion felt the same way. However he didnt get much time to think on it as the male spoke again. Though Mizuki noticed the roll of the eyes.

Crossing his arms he moved away from the male a little "What?" He asked with a little frown "I cant help it....I dont like to be dirty" He said with a little shrug of his arms "And right now..." He said looking to his arm "There is something that needs cleaned...so why not everything at once?" He asked with a little tilt of his head.

Though with that thought Mizuki got a little smirk before he leaned in "You know..." He said softly as he reached a hand up and placed it on Thalions chest "You could join me..." He said with a smile before he leaned in some more and gave a little lick to the ear he found. However Mizuki didnt give Thalion a chance to say anything as he turned and headed for the bathroom with a little wiggle of his hips.

"I never said anything bad about it, just by now I think I have figured a few things out." Least Mizuki normally had a set pattern he did things in or a time even. In that they were rather opposites, Thalion normally didn't have a set pattern though given his life style that was no real surprise.

Though Mizuki had a point. "Yeah yeah.." He started before he went to move but stopped as Mizuki seemed to speak again. He started to ask what but stopped as the other placed a hand on his chest and seemed to continue. He didn't get much time to think on the proposal before the lick caused him to shiver slightly. Why did he feel a bit cornered in the choices he actually had..

Either way he found himself watching Mizuki walk into the other room before he shook his head a little. With everything going on he never gave anything much thought especially when it came to spending time with the other. Though Mizuki probably knew that he wouldn't say no to the request/suggestion.

Finally following the other he decided to ask as Mizuki was working on unbraiding his hair. "so what brought up this idea?" He asked being actually curious. Mizuki was so particular about how he kept his hair and such he normally just left the other the hour or so he took over the bathroom. Granted he never wasted that much time in here himself... though water being one of the main opposing elements to his own might be one reason behind that.

Mizuki was standing there undoing his hair. He knew that Thalion would fallow him or at least that was what he had hoped for. It was not until the male came into the room and spoke that Mizuki turned a little and looked to him. "What idea?" Mizuki asked as he finished with his hair and letting fall around him he turned to Thalion.

Tilting his head a little he brushed back some loose hair that fell into his face as he gave Thalion a little smirk. Walking over to him he stood before him "What..." He asked lightly before reaching a hand out and lightly brushing it down the males arm "Is it to much to ask for some...alone time with my...Mate?" He asked using Thalions words against him as he gave a little smirk.

Though this was when he turned with a side and lightly threw his hand up into the air as he did so "I mean if it is...I am sure you could find something to do..." He said lightly. Mizuki enjoyed times like this where he teased the male. It made him smile a little to himself as he heard the little growl behind him. So it would seem that the little teases were working...

Listening to the other he should have seen some twist of words somewhere. Though when it happened he hardly had a reply ready for it. Though it was a fair enough comment. He folded his arms after it trying to think of something to say to that though Mizuki had a point so there wasn't really anything he could say.

Though Mizuki hardly seemed done with just that one comment. Nope he went on saying if it was a problem and all of that. Thalion did growl at him a little. That was hardly fair to say. Of course he could find something to do... though he never said he was against spending what little time they did manage alone either. Odds were the children were going to be asleep a while as well and no one else should be up to bother them at this hour..

Walking over to Mizuki he stayed behind him before kissing the back of the other's neck. "something to do huh? I can think of a few things..." He smirked a little before removing his arms from around the other. "Though you wouldn't want that, you said you just wanted time together." Two could play at this teasing .. granted Mizuki normally won but still.

Mizukis eyes closed and he gave a soft smile as he felt those lips on the back of his neck. Mizuki was starting to think that he had won this little moment though that thought left as he heard the male speak again before those lips left him alone. Turning Mizuki growled a little. Alright...so let the real game start. He thought as he cast his spell as he spoke "Time together could mean so many things" Mizuki said as he watched the spell begin its work.

By now the mist in the room grew a little thicker before what semed to be hands reaching through the mist grabbed the males arms and legs stopping the movement of them. Taking a step forward Mizuki nipped a pointed ear before moving away a little "I could think of some things we could do alone..." He said lightly.

Reaching a hand out he rubbed it down the males back as he saw the light struggles and heard the growl as he cupped the males ass before pulling away and walking out infront of Thalion "So many things that could be done..." He said lightly as he reached a hand out and trailed a finger down a dark chest. "Could you think of some things?" He asked with a little tilt of his head. The steam he used was warm and as such he could tell the male before him was sweating.

Maybe he had taken things too far this time around. That or Mizuki really didn't like to lose or the idea of losing. Probably that one. Personally he didn't like the idea of losing either though in situations like these he never really saw either one of them as losing so to speak.

None the less it was too late by the time he noticed Mizuki had cast a spell. The room already had a slight bit of mist but it wasn't till that grew thicker was when he noticed something out of place and even tried to move. this was grand... the few elements he could do nothing to and Mizuki decided to use one of them.

This was when Mizuki knew he had the upper hand and seemed to plan to play on it. The nip was just the start of it, he Knew how much Mizuki liked to tease. "Oh really..?" He said being a slight smart ass though he did try to struggle a little just to see how strong the spell holding him was. Enough for that to be useless. Though Mizuki's next action caused him to growl at him. This was more then unfair.

Not only was this unfair being unable to move but he wasn't exactly use to feeling warm like this. He hardly minded heat that was certain but the warm mist in combination with Mizuki teasing was making it worse. Though the other seemed to go on saying so many things could be done and asking if he could think of any. "A few.. one being releasing me.." Though he doubted that would work. It was really hard to think at the moment he had to admit it.

"Just a few though.. I think we have a few hours to ourselves." Probably more with the young ones being older now. They'd probably be left alone the rest of the night actually. Though being the smart ass he was he couldn't help but edge the other on a bit. "Take it letting me go isn't a option anymore." Not that he would go far... They were probably both having similar thoughts about now, granted it was Mizuki's fault.

"A few.. one being releasing me.." at these words Mizuki gave a soft laugh "What fun would that be?" He asked moving foreward a little as he placed a kiss under the males chin on a piece of exposed neck. However Mizuki stood there and listened as Thalion spoke again. Yes a few hours...though Mizuki knew that would be most if not all of the night. It was something that Mizuki was greatfull for. The fact that the kids slept through the night hours. It gave him more rest and more Thalion time.

Mizuki stepped back a little "You see...I could let you go" He said a little to him as he raised a finger to his lips and thought for a moment "But I could also not let you go..." He said before tapping the finger there "Oh what to choose what to choose" He said lightly to himself before moving up to the male again. Leaning in he placed a kiss on dark lips before moving those kissed down a jaw line to a a neck where he kissed an nipped at dark skin.

Pal hands found two dark hips as they grasped their prize. All the while those pale lips kisses and brushed dark skin until he gave a sharp bite to the males collar bone. You see Mizuki had a plan here...he knew that Thalion wouldnt be able to do much against the mist so he had some time to play around. With that in mind he set himself a goal and that goal was to get a moan from the male. Ass soon as that was done he would be let go.

At least this was Mizukis thinking as he continued to kiss and nip. His hands moved swfitly then and made quick work of taking the males shirt off of him. Leaning in pale hands drifted down a dark chest only then to rap around a dark back as he stepped closer pressing his bare pale chest into that of Thalion before him as he nipped at the shoulder closest to him.

Stopping suddenly Mizuki stepped back a little and looked at the flushed face of Thalion before him. Hmm yes....He liked that look on the male. Reaching a hand up he brushed a pale finger over a blushed cheek with a little smile "I do love it when you look like that" He said softly. Though he held back the victory smirk he got at the little moan that left bitten lips. Smirking Mizuki moved "Well I do say...its about that time for a bath..." He said in a low voice as he moved away.

Moving he stood infront of the large tub that could easily hold three or more. Cracking his neck a little Mizuki removed what was left of his clothes before looking over his shoulder. Ending the spell he watched those arms fall before he stepped over the edge and into the bath. He stood there a moment as his hair floated around him before he turned and looked to Thalion "I could still think of so much to do..." He said lightly before sitting down with a little groan.

Now he knew he was in trouble. Mizuki talking like that normally meant he ha lost before anything had even begun. Though in most cases he knew what the other tried to accomplish. Whatever the reason Mizuki seemed to toy with him in most cases until he couldn't hold back noises any longer. Not like he didn't understand why.. but still he normally fought tooth and nail to not make any noise besides gasped breaths and unsteady breathing.

Yep he was doomed from the start. All of the teasing and touches. Only made worse from the extra heat from the spell that the mist was formed by. That never stopped him from trying to fight, a slight blush already on his face at the first bite. This was so unfair, he was at a disadvantage on a few levels here.

Not that he hardly wanted Mizuki to stop. That probably kept him fighting more actually. Just to keep the other from stopping. Though he was going to dread when Mizuki removed the spell. None the less he had plans if Mizuki thought that he was going to tease this whole time and just walk away afterwards.

Mizuki knew when he was close to winning though. Probably from how hard he was biting his own lip just to try to be stubborn and not lose for once. This was when Mizuki spoke saying he loved that look, though not too long after was when Thalion finally had to give in. Someday though... he'd figure out what made the other tick and he'd reverse this little game.

Though for now it was almost all he could do to stand as the spell was removed and Mizuki walked away a little to finish undressing. He was using the wall for support till he got a little bit of will back to stand on his own as Mizuki spoke. "Oh I can think of a few things..." Thalion started still breathing unsteadily and the air still feeling overly warm to him at the moment.

This was when he moved finally to walk over to where Mizuki was discarding the remainder of his own clothes. He wasn't going to let a similar trick work two times in one night. He didn't take more then a moment to already have Mizuki's back against one of the tub walls as he held him there with a kiss. "Just a few though.." Was the teasing words he said a little under his breath after pulling back from the kiss a little.

Mizuki sat there leaned into the tub as he kissed Thalion back. He was shocked really the reaction he had on the male. How he had reached out to brace himself from falling over the moment the spell was taken away. The uneasy breaths and slow movements. Yes Mizuki had won and he knew this. It was just a matter of time before the male gave into the loss.

However Mizuki smiled to himself. He knew that the male had already given in to what was happening around him. Though at the same time why would one fight it? Reaching a wet hand out of the water he rubbed it down a dark neck with a smile "You should join me..." Mizuki said in a growl as he looked to Thalion with half lidded eyes. Mizuki was finished with the little game they played. No he wanted his prize for winning and he was going to get that.

Watching Thalion he stared as the male removed the rest of his close before coming over to the large tub again. Reaching out Mizuki guided Thalion into the tub and into his lap before he leaned up and kissed the male above him. It was rare to have Thalion like this but when it happened he engraved everything he could into his minds eye.

From there the movements were slow and tender. The teasing had gotten the better of them and Mizuki knew it. After everything was done he sat there with his head resting on the back of the tub as Thalions own rested on a pale shoulder with dark arms resting on a pale chest. Both breathed in pants.

Calming his breath after awhile he smiled softly before reaching a hand up and removing some of the crimson bangs from the males face before he kissed Thalions for head "I love you Thalion...You are my everything" He said lightly as he moved a free arm and hugged the male close to him.

They both probably knew things were going to lead to this. All it took was one or the other of them starting it and things seemed to go from there. Not that they commonly got to spend time like this together. Normally they had enough energy to talk a bit and sleep and that was it. Though today kind of called for something a little more after that slight scare earlier.

Thalion was still trying to gain his breath back, something he had been trying to get back to being normal from when Mizuki had used the mist spell. That was cheap using heat against him like that, effective but still cheap. In the end it hardly mattered as this was what they both wanted. Granted not one of the first places Thalion would have picked but he had his reasoning for that.

After a little longer Mizuki finally seemed to move as he felt the other brush back some of the bangs back before a light kiss. Listening to Mizuki he had to smile a little before finally bothering to move and kissing the other's lips lightly. "I love you too... " Though he seemed to pause a little after that before shaking his head lightly. "No more close calls like tonight ok?"

Apparently that had been weighing heavier on his mind then he wanted to admit to. Though he wanted to just stay where he was he knew that the wound Mizuki had still needed to be properly wrapped and treated. Kissing the other again he moved a little. Really he worried a lot in more recent weeks. More then he let even Mizuki know, he was good at hiding fears he had.

Mizuki sat there with soft smile as he listened to Thalion. It was still weird to him at times hearing those words. Mizuki could remember a time where each of them wanted the other dead now...even the mere thought made him shiver. Nodding his head a little he smiled to Thalion "I agree...close calls are never a good thing" He said "Though I never have to worry with you here" He said kissing him lightly.

After a moment he moved his hands to the males hips "All though I love where you are..." Mizuki said with a smile "I do need to take care of this arm...and sleeping would be a good thing" He said with a nod of his head. After that he groaned a little as Thalion moved away from him and after a moment got out of the tub. From there Mizuki washed and cleaned his arm as well as everything else that was needed before he himself left the cooling water.

After a few moments he joined the male in the bedroom with his arm rapped and his hair tied back he crawled into bed beside Thalion. Moving over he curled into Thalion and hugged the male close. He loved the warmth coming from Thalion that was one thing that always made him shiver a little. Snuggeling in he gave a little sigh "Thalion..." Mizuki said after a few moments "Promise...to never leave me..." He said lightly as his grip tightened.

Mizuki had been having feelings lately that told him of a fast approaching doom. It was something he couldnt shake. Then again with the war around the bend who wouldnt think of things like that. No it was a fear he had. Mizuki didnt know what he would do if he lost the male he was currently hugging.

Never have to worry when he was there. He feared more of the times he couldn't be there. It's not like he could follow Mizuki around for the fight that would come soon enough. If he had any say in it Mizuki would be far enough away from the main fight that he would be safe. That went for the two children as well. Though he knew he couldn't ask Mizuki to not fight, that was hardly fair. That and he was more then capable of fighting.

"Yes you do." That was half of the reason Mizuki was even in here in the first place. Though he sighed a little after moving. "Sleep is probably a good idea.. before anyone wakes up and decides to stay up." He rolled his eyes a little at the thought. Knowing his luck the scare of tonight might make either one of them not sleep well, meaning the kids of course.

After a moment he got out to leave Mizuki to wrap his arm and finish whatever he needed to do. Also he was going to check up on the two children just to make sure things were ok. Though it seemed they were so he left well enough alone and laid on the bed waiting for the other to finish and come to bed already.

After a while Mizuki did leave the bathroom. His arm seemed to be wrapped and his hair pulled back. Though something seemed to be on his mind form the look on his face. He never questioned it though as Mizuki joined him and curled up against him like he normally did. It was when he spoke that Thalion had a answer to what was on the other's mind.

Moving a arm to keep the other close he kissed the top of Mizuki's head. "I promise.. I'll always be with you." If he had any control in it. He never wanted to leave the other but he could tell that there was fear behind that thought. He had his own fears but it wouldn't help things to let them show. No he had to remind himself things would be fine. They would win this and they could go about any other business they had to deal with and things would be well.

Things calmed down after that night and stayed that way for a few weeks. Almost too calm in fact with no scout reports of enemy troops and no word on where the King's forces was. Though it was a calm before the storm. Warning bells should have gone off with the morning scouting group not returning on time. But it wasn't too uncommon for them to run a bit late. Though that mistake was soon noticed as a wounded scout reported back or tried to only to be shot down just before the gates.

It was barely enough time to warn or prepare anything that was not already prepared. Right away anyone who was unable to fight as well as children were told to start heading for the escape routes that were planned through the back of the cave. There was a group designated to travel with them to ensure noting happened along the way.

Though this meant that Thalion and Mizuki had little time to explain or further explain to three year olds why they had to go with Neimi. Luckily they had no idea what was going on and the fighting had not gotten this far into the camp so quick words saying they would catch up to them soon enough seemed to convince them that things were alright.
