Why didn't they mention sugar in Iowa?

I don't know. o _o They did give me a list of foods to avoid when having flare-ups and such when I first got sick, but after it was under control they said I didn't need to worry about it unless I was feeling pain or other symptoms.

But apparently Sugar is one of the worst things for your digestive system and it doesn't cause pain or symptoms and should be used in moderation and avoided all together during flare-ups.

That's kind of important to know and if you're going to be managing your illness yourself details like this shouldn't be neglected.

Indeed. This is the first I'm hearing of it. From what I knew, it was fibers and fats that were most dangerous.

Those are still bad but sugar is bad for digestion period and even healthy people shouldn't eat a whole lot of it.

Obvs it can't be avoided completely but treat it like the fats.

Alas... If only all this sugar talk didn't actually make me want it even more.
