Default #1361
six'8 is still very tall but a bit more reasonable and from your explanation it would have to be high fantasy since those white bangs would still garner attention and sickles are very large unwieldy things(in the barn of the house i used to live in there was a small one and it was about four foot long and had a stick coming from one end and a large blade out the other, it would take a large drunk to hold it so a proper-sized one would likely be the size of the guy)

sorry if i am messing things up, i tend to tear down marysues until they are ribbons XD my other partners have gotten used to making more manageable chars and i have grown spoiled
Default #1362
That reminds me more of a scythe. The sickle we have has a small four or Five inch handle with a somewhat thin curved blade. But there are different sizes, I suppose. As for the bangs, with the hunch they would be seen as an old beggar, with the cloak and hood, so the white bangs would be dismissed, and so a high fantasy setting isn't needed. In non high-fantasy settings, either the white hair stems from a stressful childhood or, since that isn't needed in a sociopath, simple albino genes.
And it is fine. xD

albino means his skin and eyes are affected though how would my char handle his jarring appearance?

it is for threshing hay since the farm was used for it's hay since before combines XD

what is the purpose of your char being here then? i assume mine is going to be a reactionary char so his reasons are not so important
Default #1364
White hair, pale skin, and pink eyes. If it is an older society, he would be cast out, so your character could react oddly. But again, the hood hides his face, so being slouched over and looking like an old man, that would be hiding his eyes, and so the odd appearance wouldn't affect you much at first. But if he were to go out among others without that disguise, he still keeps his bangs, and charcoal and soot could cover his hair, or mud perhaps, enough to look like a worker or something and get rid of most of the off hair color. Perhaps look like a slave or something as well. As for reasons, the character is often something like a kleptomaniac or someone who likes confusing or deceiving others, so on his spare time, visiting the town dressed as an old man to sneak items or peddle or beg for coins would amuse him.

tying it back would hide it effectively though

but if we can figure out why he is there and what he is aiming to do we can start, i think i have enough on him
Default #1366
Alright. Well, a simple goal could be that he wants to find people he can bend to his will, and a common goal among Sociopaths is to find a willing minion, one that knows they're being used but allow it anyways. Perhaps wanting followers for something, such as a guild, or to get enough people to help him become a more well known or noble-like figure, with wealth and followers.

so he wishes to start a cult or a gang? or do you mean something else, it has to be something a tad more refined than 'get money and slaves', like an actual goal or mission
Default #1368
Well, Sociopaths tend to use people as stepping stones to get up in the world. So it may not even be a cult. They tend not to think too far ahead and plan, and often switch goals and ideals, so it is difficult to set a goal for one. They're spontaneous. But for the sake of a roleplay, I could list a few, and alter how he hides his hair and eyes accordingly. All of them will have the common sociopathic elements as to how he got to where he did.

He wants to be admired as a hero, despite being bad with morals. He likes people giving him positive attention, so he puts on a happy guise to hide his lies. He ties his hair back, and streaks it with pigment to give it a temporary blonde look, and has bangs to cover his pink eyes. He manipulates with kind words to be thought of as helpful, though he hadn't done much of anything. Usually, he does so to undereducated peasants, since there seems to be a surplus of them.

He is a thief, using sly words to get out of punishment when caught, as well as bribes and connections with guards and in wealthy families. He is searching for an old man's home, filled with ancient collectables, things he could sell or give to the wealthy families to tie the connections even further. He'd be more than willing to kill the man for it not really valuing human lives, but figured it might dampen the connections if he did, so is reluctant to do so. His hair is hidden in a shadowed cloak, as well as his eyes, so he looks like an old man when he crosses the streets.

He is a guard in the city, in high ranks through manipulation of both fellow guard and criminals, often hiding in the guise of a poor blonde peasant looking for gold to slip into their ranks, find their lair, and then lead guards to it. Though he himself rarely enters the battle, since the only weapons he is good with are knives and farming tools. His helmet usually covers his hair and eyes, though still he streaks his hair with blonde, and in this version, his hair is not completely white but a platinum blonde, with blue eyes that needn't be hidden.

i am sorry dear, none of those really suit my fancy and neither the first or second would require drones though the second one could be mangled into something with work and i just dont care for the third since it isn't really practical

how about something more simple, could he be a hired spy for someone of power? if he were it'd give him a reason to be sneaky and make alibis and learn how to disguise himself with wigs and powder or maybe someone born of high status since then he would have the means to do the types of things you say he does and would not need much validation for them

it works better if you imagine your char as a real person and apply real-world logic to situations to see what holds, that way after you are four or five pages in you won't be tripping over a stack of loopholes XD
Default #1370
XD doing that has saved me a lot of grief and is why i have two rps that are over a thousand pages
Default #1371
That could work, but I don't see much base for the sociopath's personality wishing to be a spy. Usually, they like attention, and their own people to manipulate. They'd prefer to send spies and be the one in charge. Unless, of course, they were spying on their own will. That and again, Sociopaths switch jobs quite often, and you can't really quit being a spy at any time.
Though, they could use it as a way to get power, I suppose, though I haven't heard much of spies gaining rank. But it would do, considering not all Sociopaths want power, some do prefer isolation save for their small group of people.

well, most of the most famous sociopaths were militant types and generally reign until death, i cannot really see someone wanting to gain power just to throw it away just for a change of pace XD

less of rank and bore set into a specific rank and gaining assets both monetarily and socially as well as establishing an information-base that could be used later. with all of this it would be fine if he was only a spy part-time, that is when his advanced services are needed and not all of the time when anything needs found or done
Default #1373
Well, if they were a ruler, they could do what they wanted, so there'd be no need to throw it away. xD
And that would work. Working as a spy to improve his stealth and information gathering. That is actually a nice job for a Sociopath, if you think about it, because they have a wonderful time analyzing people and knowing how to persuade and con them, so they could get information even without having to sneak around quite as much. Though the guises would still be needed.
Thank you for helping me on fleshing out the character, by the by. The base character for the male one I'm using, Kyoki Faust, has been in development for a few years, and still is. I generally take quite awhile filling in details about characters I truly like, and take base ideas from them, like appearance and personality traits, when making roleplay characters.

no worries, i like seeing chars gain depth, it also helps me to see what kind of char i would need to have to play off of yours with

i think we are ready to start if you'd like to make the first post<3
Default #1375
So then, is there any topic in particular you'd like to rp in, or should I start one?
My apologies, but this would be my first roleplay I started in on this site.
