Im talking on terms of design.
I have no problems with any gen 1 pokemon
but people who criticise gen 5 seem to forget not all gen 1 pokemon were animal based or had really epic designs.

Hate to say this but gen 1 is not elite x'D no matter how much nostalgia you get from it (and boy do I get a lot of nostalgia from it)
