Yeah, in grade eight my French teacher got some duck eggs and borrowed an incubator from one of the primary grade teachers. Once they hatched they let some of their students take care of them for the weekend provided said students first brought a note from their parent(s)/guardian(s) stating that it was okay for them to care for them.

I was the last student to get to take care of them for a weekend before they were to be brought to a farm shortly after I brought them back to school so that they could be properly raised and cared for the rest of their life or until the time they were to get slaughtered, butchered, cooked, and eaten.

I loved them so much and miss them dearly. Now I want pet ducks for reals to go with my desire for a few pet snakes (as in big ones) and lizards. >3> <3
