Well, I joined in like 2011 and I've never really gotten into it though....considering Crysandrea has shut down, so has Elidiun (again), and lunaesaga...no idea what's going on there...it was supposed to come back but hasn't to my knowledge.

And most places are too slow to keep my interest for long...and I mainly only rp on places.

I use to work as staff for Solia, I could tell you guys horror stories from before the site even opened.

They bought out Torn Faun didn't they?

Yep, I was one of the artist from TF that was brought over and used, then thrown away.

Because no one cares what happens to the staff, much less the artists. : /

It's sad to hear that so many avatar sites seem to be having as many problems as they are, and even worse to hear that a number of them have closed down.

I remember that before Crysandrea went offline (back then everyone believed that the admins would be true to their word and bring the site back... something which did not happen in the end, sadly), a lot of the members decided to move to Lunesaga so it's really sad to hear that they've lost their avatar home once more...

@Hiei: Were they really that bad o.O? What was their reason for getting rid of you? If there was one >.>...

A friend of mine that use to be a co-worker needed money, so he said. So I gave it to him, come to find out he tried to use it to buy a failing avatar site that he was working for at the time.

I was fired for "Aiding the competition".

@Hiei: That is extremely bad >.<. How did they even find out you loaned your friend money in the first place though o.O? That seems rather creepy.

I gave it to him thinking he needed it for food, you know, to live and still be my friend. I had no way of knowing. more than dumb. : /

But I had done a doll on Chibini's (?) (The one that had a base like a Ball Joint Doll) for fun as I liked the base and was warned that it was "Aiding the competition" and that I wasn't allowed to pixel on anything but Solia's base. EVER. After that they started monitoring my posts on other avatar sites as I used the same name most places. They "Found out" when I asked my friend how he was trying to buy a site when he didn't have money for food, at that point he told me he was using the money I "Donated" to him. Wham bam, I'm fired within moments of reading that.

Solia stocks their staff, whether they know it or not.

That is creepy as all fucking hell.
