They don't have to be online. I went on some people's when they weren't online and it had three. The pokemon have a higher chance of hidden abilities if the person is online.

Hmm I added a bunch of people from a forum and their 3rd Pokemon didn't show up for me until they came online. xD Weird.

Idk, but from what I've seen they don't need to be online.

i think they have to to be online at least for a bit 'cause how else would their info sync to you lol

They do not have to be online! Everywhere is saying they don't. They need to have beaten the elite 4 though.

Being online means that the Pokemon that appear have a chance of having their Dream World abilities.

As far as I know, you have to see them online at least once (after beating the elite four) to see their third pokemon. After that, having them appear online just makes hidden abilities more common.

I still need to get myself a DS and play regular black and white. o3o But all these new updates to X and Y make me nervous about playing them cause they're just weirding me out with them being so new and over-the-top and new and weird and yeah. @_@

I thought Black and White were okay, I really DIDN'T like Black 2 and White 2. As for X and Y, I absolutely LOVE all the new changes. It's mostly stuff I feel like Pokemon games should have always had but couldn't because of technology holding it back.

I absolutely loved Black and White 2, there was so much to do once you finished the game. And it was the first Pokemon game that truly made the purpose of filling the entire Pokedex fulfilling .

I absolutely love X and Y for the changes, but the lack of end game content is seriously making me push back this game more and more from my heart. The lack of DLC is absolute bull crud, I thought by now Gamefreak wouldn't have to make a 3rd title. But I suppose any tradition that still makes the company more money takes priority though. :/
