I had a friend who was really big into Tarot readings. She had a set of cards she let me use once. The reading she did for me was really interesting and pretty spot on at the time. I heard that you weren't supposed to buy your own Tarot deck, that it had to be given to you by someone else. Is that true or is that an Oracle deck thing?

I bought my own but I bought it in person after paying with the cards for a few hours.

Well. I have no idea if that is true, mainly because cards are very personal. But - my mom did buy me my first deck in the 6th grade. I've had this deck a long freaking time.

I've got 2 oracle decks here at the house, Unicorn and Angel. I think I have one more, but I can't remember what it is... It's really bugging me.

I have a Unicorn and Druid oracle decks, a set of Angel cards given to me by a friend who moved away some years ago, and a kit on how to read fortunes and tarot in Gypsy style. I've read a bit of the book on palm readings and such, but haven't gotten to looking at the actual deck, which apparently has very specific cards.

Recently I found the deck of cards my late grandmother used to use for readings. It's just a standard card deck, but she penciled in what the cards mean. It's interesting because I've never known her. She died before I was born.

Oh my, Quiet I bet grandmothers cards have power!
