Default Linux problems (might be fixed) #1
I have Linux on my laptop. It was kicking me off the Internet every ten minutes but I could restart the laptop and it would reconnect before repeating the problem. Now it seems to have no Internet connection though it shows as if it does. Help me?

Did not open firefox this time and for the moment Chromium is working. Maybe firefox is the problem, but we'll see if it kicks me in about the next 10 minutes.

Still working....and so is firefox.

D: Linux....wry you do dis?!

Possible glitch or network card could be loose in your laptop

Well, I've looked it up and Linux does tend to kick people off of the internet once in awhile (I've had it happening everyday sometimes....sometimes a lot less)

I haven't had any problems since though :D

That problem did sound odd. I'm glad it seems to be fixed. (:

There's nothing wrong with just a taste of what you paid for...

Like today, it said it connected to a network, but then it showed it was still trying to connect, no internet....got it to connect to our other network and it's just fine. I don't know .-.

I am sorry to say, you're Linux is possessed. We will have to do an exorcism.

(Hmm...it could be that the connection is strong enough to register, but not to load the web. (Happens at home often due to its layout))

I normally have it on the first one and it gets 3 out of four bars....this one gets 4 out of 4 but is the one you have to reset any time the power goes out or anything, seperately of the modem.

I think it is possessed.

Have you tried making a small network between your linux lappg and a windows one and conect to the net like that?.
Default #9
I don't know how to do that...which at that point I didn't have a windows one (or I wouldn't have been using Linux) but since then I have found it is a problem between Linux and the wireless card in my laptop.

When I first posted this, I only had the linux one, and now that I have something other than the linux one, it's just sitting there doing nothing now XD
