i'm pretty good, chocobo! working on a project thing for the youth orchestra my younger daughter is in.

i usually go by Trys ('Tris') or Trystan.... not ususally the '830' ;)

what is the production?

chocobo - it's a youth orchestra concert - there's several different ensembles that play a few pieces in three different concerts over two days in april. i was scanning some of the music for two of the ensembles. younger daughter plays the flute in two of the other ensembles. =)

ok, so what are they?

i don't know all the pieces, but one group is doing Finlandia. and i know one of the pieces one of my daughter's ensemble is doing is Pirates of the Carribbean. =)

ah, how is she doing so far?

well.... they had the fall concert for the youth orchestra in november, and practices start up again in january. she had her school band concert earlier this week, and then they're off school from next thursday (the 24th) until the 1st and go back to school on jan 4th. she's a freshman in high school. =)
