nothing much has happened yet, Mystie. The real celebrations start tomorrow.

Well here in Sweden we do it all the 24th so here we are mostly done.

Because for us this is Christmas? Maybe because its filled with thing and the 25th is considered a rest day?
Most likely it's because of older traditions from our pagan and viking days.

That is cool, I like the fact you guys have a rest day and aren't up at 5 am trying to do stuff.

Nah we have been preparing for many days instead, cleaning spread over 10 days the cooking and decorating for 2 days and then it's the 24th everything is lazy and happy, you eat, you open presents and have fun, then on the 25th you just rest and try to get over any indigestion you got from eating too much the day before.

That's pretty much how it happens in our family, but Mom cooks the big meal starting in the early morning on the 25th.
