Mmm sweet pickled beets. We made a huge batch of that last year and with some of the leftover juice we pickled some eggs in it. They just tasted like eggs and beets. lol

I love eggs, but I need them to be fully cooked or I wont touch them. If the yolk is still even a little gummy I just..can't. I usually cook them over hard with a dash of lemon pepper. Or scrambled with just a bit of sea salt. mmmm ♥

Unless they make you sick, like they do for me. lol

Beets make most things good. *think of natural brine sourbeets*

if I had a source for duck eggs, I'd get 'em regularly. I love duck eggs. Especially the preserved kind. Which I haven't had in a couple years, since I moved away from where I could get 'em regularly... :/

I have had duck eggs before. I think they taste similar to chicken eggs except for the part where the shell is a bit harder to crack than a chicken egg.

Quail eggs are fun. I like buying 'em fresh, and I also like the canned, hard boiled ones... My mom thinks they're gross, but I love skewering 'em and sprinkling 'em with a little bit of sea salt.

we get them fresh and i either boil them and eat them or boil them and then roast them shelled XD

That sounds really good. And yeah, when I got 'em fresh, I'd boil 'em, 'cause that was easier to make for on-the-go snacking...

I think tomorrow, I'll go to Omaha and get some quail eggs.

it totally is and they only take like a minute to roast XD i do reccomend oiling the pan/rack you use so they don't stick and pull apart, haha

I have never had fresh quail eggs, but I have had canned quail eggs. They are okay, if a bit on the mushy side.

I'm thinking a mini muffin tin will work nicely. lol

All of these exotic eggs. Where do you find them?

You can usually find them (supposedly) at places like trader joes, but where I live it's probably easier to just hit up a local farmer or check the farming papers and see if anyone has any advertised.

For some reason, brown eggs have always creeped me out. I hear they are better for you, but I just prefer white eggs.

there is 0 difference, the color only indicates the color of the chicken who laid it XD


sparx is right, a farmer if you cannot find any at the store(though here there are three stores that sell them, hahaha)
