(Cat got into something and suddenly fly eggs...I am okay with guts and fungus...even okay with ant and spider eggs...but fly eggs are a nope)

I didn't place in the contest. Because I was a volunteer/staff. When another staff person won an award from the MC of the contest.

getting really *bleeping* sick of impressing the judges and never getting anything to show besides a "We loved your costume, but...".

*more big hug of sympathy* Favoritism sucks. Except when you're on a pet game and someone sent you a dream pet just because you're their friend.

I'm really considering not entering the costume contest at that particular con next year as a result.

I hate to be the fool who asks, but who's the character you're cosplaying as?
(Regardless, I am impressed with it. You look like a mad scientist mastermind, and remind me of a certain one from a play I can't remember the name of)

I was cosplaying as Megatron's holoform from the More Than Meets the Eye comics. I have to fix the pants and tweak some of the armor, but those are very minor fixes.

Ah...sorry for not knowing (haven't looked into that series)

Don't worry, Law. I think the cost kinda outweighs the enjoyment on that series. LOL Me, I only like hearing about the stories second hand, because then there are a lot less bouncing eyeballs, ripped up heroes, and angst.

Fun fact: I'm actually facebook friends with Primal's voice actor. Garry Chalk is a lovely gentleman. Like most voice actors, he's a bit on the ornery side at times, but he's never been anything less than respectable.

That reminds me. Did David Kaye see that screencap I took of him?
