Personally, from my own experiences, when people say things like that it is to deliberately hurt you, and pass blame off of themselves. Yeah, your roommate might've been in a dark place but it's never cool to blame it on someone else, it's.. toxic. And I know I'd overthink every little thing I've ever done to see what could've caused :( even though that leads nowhere. I've had problems with roommates before, but staying apart and taking care of my issues was much better for myself than blaming her.

oh well i had a cold before the flu shot.

And the flu shot takes 2 weeks to kick in and only works for the flu.
