Our closest con is AWA.. but my husband isn't into it like I am so I usually go on a day he's working. Might drag him next year... but our anniversary is also on the same time so.. we usually opt for doing something else like traveling to the beach or something.

I used to go every year but I can't handle the drama small town cons bring with them so I quit going. It was like everybody knows eveyrbody and everybody has dated everybody and everybody judges you based on which person you're with and if you made your own costume or not.

We used to have Fandemonium but the convention center added a morality clause and now it can't be hosted there. I really loved that one and would sell my art stuffs there every year.

I know 70% of the boise con scene drives up to Sakura Con every year.

It's a pretty normal winter, all told. Maybe a bit warmer. Was in mid-80s yesterday.

I'd like it to be just a touch cooler so I didn't need my air condition. lol.

I can't even imagine what that is like Toho. Can't even. Like it didn't snow in Portland, but it was still chilly.

It got a bit cool for a few days. High of like 70. :P


It'll get legitimately cold for maybe 3 days a year, with high of at most 50. That's usually in January.

I did go to San Diego in January once and sat on the beach in my swim suit. Just so I could send pictures to all my friends in Boise who were dealing with 2 feet of snow. But it really wasn't warm enough to be out in my swim suit and I kind of regretted it XD

let's see: there's Philly Wizard World/ComicCon near me - less than an hour on the train. there's PhilCon, which is in Cherry Hill, NJ, which is less than an hour's drive.

i didn't go to ComicCon this year because no one jumped out at me and said "oooh!! come see MEE!!!" XD
