What's moderation?

Sweet! I was a little nervous that the age range around here would be primarily 18+, so I'm glad there's at least one person here that's my age. :>

On most forums there are 3 types of members:
Administrators
Moderators
Members

and sometimes the in-between's, like artists, developers, etc.
Moderators are (most of the time, it varies between forums) in charge of keeping the forums clean of spam, trolls, etc. and are usually also apart of large decisions that will effect the community as a whole. They have other powers and responsibilities but that's just the gist of it!
