Okay, so, you want to go straight down as much as possible, that makes you go faster, so further, which gives you more flakes. If you have the red dot closer to the sled, you can steer it quicker, because it's set up to 'look' at it. So, you have shorter to go before it responds. Last of all, of you're stuck on the corner of a rock or tree, sometimes sweeping up to a different angle can get you loose faster.
