Luck woke up a few minutes before the alarm clock rang. As he removed himself from the bed, he gave Rune the kind of soft, detached smile that only a person who was not alert in the morning would give.

Luck looked over to the analog. The hour hand was pointing after five. The minute hand pointed a little after thirty. That gave him more than enough time to get ready. He pulled the blankets back over Rune and entered to bathroom with clothes for school.

He brushed his teeth and changed into a red hoodie and jeans, wondering if Rune was the kind of person who needed to change their clothes every day or not.

Having accomplished this, he peeped his head out into the corridor that connected to his room, making sure that no one was awake.

Rune stayed asleep for a while longer. It was only when the warmth of Luck's body faded that he woke, rubbing his eyes. Sitting up, he looked around in confusion before remembering he'd spent the night at Luck's. A blush crept up his cheeks as he smiled at the memory. He looked up as Luck came out of the bathroom. "Thanks for letting me sleep here..." He said softly, looking up at the blonde almost shyly.

"Any time."

One hand trailed up to the back of his head as he looked to the side, "I wasn't going to let you sleep in the park after all."

Rune flushed a little, getting up and grabbing his bag on the way to the washroom, giving luck a quick hug before darting into the other room and locking the door behind him. He changed into the clothes he'd shoved into his backpack the day before- black skinny jeans and a fitted dark blue and silver t-shirt, forgoing underwear to avoid any bunching under his jeans. He brushed his hair out quickly, tying it back, before inspecting himself for any visible marks, using a bit of concealer to hide a faint bruise and a couple little scars.

Luck stiffened for a second in surprise when Rune hugged him. It wasn't every day that someone hugged a school bully. He watched Rune enter the bathroom with a dumb smile on his face.

Luck picked up his school bag from beside his desk and sat on the chair to wait for Rune. They probably had cereal if Rune felt like having breakfast, he thought.

Rune took a few moments longer than necessary in the washroom, calming himself so he didn't make a fool of himself in front of Luck, or anyone else.

When he finally felt ready, he unlocked the washroom door, his clothes bundled up and shoved inside his school bag, the pants Luck had lent him folded and left on top of the hamper.

Luck glanced up, surprised at Rune's change of clothes. He had prepared to stay out of his home, it appeared. He didn't remark on it though, what good would it do?

"There's cereal in the kitchen if you want." He said instead, "We can have breakfast before heading out, since it's good for you and all."

Rune smiled a little. "Sure..." It had been a while since he'd had a good meal. Too often the only one he got was lunch, and that usually was whatever they had available at the convenience store on his way to school... If he had money.

When he had motioned Rune to follow him, Luck dropped himself down the carpeted stairs.
In the kitchen he took out two bowls, a carton of milk, and three cereal boxes: one box had chocolate flavored cereal, another was plain corn flakes, and the last one had marshmallow candies in them. Luck poured a bowl of the marshmallow cereal for himself at random, wondering what Rune would pick.

Rune followed Luck down to the kitchen, a little surprised at the choice he had. He instantly went for the chocolatey one, pouring some into the other bowl on the counter, and added some milk to it, before sitting st the table to eat.

Finding that he had poured the marshmallow cereal for himself, Luck kept his cereal dry. He didn't particularly find candy in milk very enjoyable. Seeing Rune had immediately taken the chocolate cereal, he grinned. "You like chocolate?" He asked.

Putting away the milk and cereal boxes, Luck pulled out two spoons from the kitchen counter, handing one to Rune before sitting himself at the side of the table opposite the other boy.

Rune nodded, smiling a bit. "Yeah... And I havent had this cereal for a few years.... Used to be my favorite." He replied, taking a bite when given the spoon.

"Used to be?" Luck asked, "Do you have a different favorite now?"
He chewed on a spoonful of cereal, not really tasting it. Cereal was always rather bland to him, as with nearly everything he ate.

He shrugged slightly. "My father just doesn't buy it for me... Always used to be mum that would bring it home." He said, not admitting that he rarely ate breakfast... Or any meal, really.

Luck chewed on another spoonful of cereal in thought. "You can take that box if you'd like. My family buys whatever's on sale so the cereal we get is random."

Rune shook his head. "It's alright..." He said. His father would probably just throw it out on him.
