Hehe, I always used to remember the crane game when I was little-to-not-active on here (aka "too timid to post in nothing but underwear" xD) but now I sometimes realize I haven't even inserted all my tokens for the day.

Part of the reason I don't get stuff now is also because I've pretty much collected all the items already. Now I only get stuff if I'm feeling impulsive (for more starry skies/sheep/cats) or for aurum.
