To understand Fodder you need to know about exalting first!

Exalting is where you send a dragon to work at the temple of your flight. Once you Exalt, you can NEVER get it back so Choose wisely. (Some use it to kill of their dragons, lore wise)

All dragons give out a payout of treasure and rarely gems, EXCEPT for your Progen Dragons (the 2 you started out with). Exalting is done during 'Dominance' which is a user organized event that uses the system to get discounts.

Dominance, where 2 or more flights 'battle' for the top. The top 3 winners get Flight Discounts, First Place having the best discount. Keep an eye out in your flight only forums if you are interested in Dom. Also these videos will help explain better about Exalting and Dom and the Coliseum:

Fodder are dragons bought/bred for exalting. People purposesly breed dragons for the sake of exalting them (or selling to exalt them) Most dragon fodder are the ugly dragons or those who are missing a gene (Primary, Secondary, or Tertiary) though some will sell very beautiful dragons for Fodder Prices (anything under 8,000 Treasure is fodder price, though some flights will buy fodder up to 13,000 treasure)

How to make a Quest thread!

The Quest Thread Forum is a new section in the forums! People also use it for personal challenges.

To make a Quest thread you go to this forum: Quest and Challenges and just make a new topic. You can set it up how ever you like.

Gems you don't really need to quest for since its easy to get free gems. you get 1 gem daily after keeping your dragons fed for 3 consecutive days + then when you start opening Iron and Gilded chests you get gems from there too! To get those chests you just keep bonding with your familiars. or you can buy gems from other users but the prices are getting redic =/

Try leveling up some dragons in the coli. You can melt the items you get in baldwins, then sell the goops, gooes, sludges, and stuff for treasure =)
