It almost doesn't look like a machine it looks so natural!
Default #50
That one isn't a machine!
I think...
Default #51
Nope...though if it was in the story, there would be many and controlled via chemicals by a machine so it could "talk"...
...Not my plan at the moment.

...side note, I am apparently allergic to the Sun. (sun sensitivity triggering my allergies to be worse ;~;)

I'm curious. What's that first creature you have drawn? Looks like a DnD Leucrotta, and I know they swipe a lot of their stuff from myth and history.

*Looks up what a Leucrotta is*
Oh! You mean the Andrewsarchus! Yeah...that's the artist (my) interpretation of a real creature that existed in the Eocene. Essentially, in the Eocene, an extinct branch of Ungulates (pigs, deer, goats, hippos, etc) that we only know from the Hell Pigs (Entelodonts), and the skull of the Andrewsarchus.

Andrewsarchus is believed to have fit the role/shape of modern Wolves, but 5 feet tall.
From its heritage/cousin species, was likely hooved and not as much a ball of fur (more akin to a deer's fur).

The Leucrotta seems to be more a chimera of modern ungulates that by chance looks similar.

It was described in the Forgotten Realms CS as something like a deer with a badger head. Nasty pieces of work. It was the hooves with a carnivorous head that got me onto it. The old picture looks pretty mean.

I've heard of the hell pigs. Not always fond of the old dinosaur shows because the animations showing supposed behavior always seem like the were designed by people who don't know or follow much natural animal behavior or anatomy (like a terror bird turning it's head 90 degrees to attack the head of a tiny equid running along side it. No, I don't think that's how it would have done it. It could have had a grand chance of falling over.

this pic.

*Nods*
This was the image that sort of sealed the deal of wanting to draw him. (Art goals are sort of between this animation and this picture)

...ignoring that flowers (and therefore fruits) were only just starting to be a thing at that time...
