Woah now that you mentioned, there is indeed a ton of stripes xD Maybe they need more creativity in the gene department...

Or like, jaguar spots, or lynx points. Or...glitter? Maybe flame-tipped, kind of like those fire decals. And you could have a primary/secondary that makes it look like a derg has a feathery neck, or wings.
