It does make sense for safety. It certainly isn't hard to just tap the "I'm a passenger" button with your thumb even as a driver. I managed to snag two. Next farm market I'll bring my phone and attack the stops and gyms that are in the little town I drive to. There is very little walkable from my place unless you are an avid hiker.

The fire and ice solstice event has started!

I've already managed to catch several Cindaquil and Houndour plus some Vulpix and Growlithe, a Charmander and even a Lapras!

Congrats guys! ^_^ It been really good to me and I've evolved my Houndour and got my first Houndoom! And I'm getting close to being able to fully evolve my Cindaquil too!

I'll have a chance to catch more pokes today cause I go to councling today ovo

That might explain my rush of fire pokemon.

I got a cyndaquil yesterday while I was out, and saw a few vulpix. It was rather awkward trying to catch the growlithe that was on the insurance lady's desk. I named him Mighty. ;)

I snagged a Houndour some time ago. And, huh, pity about the Pokestops.

The gyms are being dismantled today for at least a few days if not a week or longer to be revamped with a new system being implemented for them.

I hope you've all had a successful time during the event, Iwe've managed to get enough candy for 2 Typhlosions and a Houndoom plus a multitude of other Pokemon. ^_^ I believe the event will be ending at some point tomorrow.

The Pokemon I got into a gym was booted the next day, so I have confirmed that people around here are still playing. Got 10 coins though. I'll check it out again soon enough though, as it's right next to my new favourite store.

I snagged a charmander as well. My houndour isn't all that tough, so hopefully I can get a better one. Mighty is over 400 which I'm happy about. My highest power pokemon right now is one of my flareons at 1200 I think?

Well I got a three day streak, whatever the streak thing is. There are no Pokemon where I live so I actually have to go out if I want to catch any.

I can walk my growlithe though. He's sort of my pretend step counter.

When you hit day 7 of a pokestop spin streak you get a guaranteed evolution item plus a bunch of other items. With the Pokemon capture streak you get bonus exp and Stardust in increasing amounts per streak day.

Looks like the event has finished now, but in the next few days at least we will have a new gym system being rolled out ^_^
