The Boris I know is this guy:

It also happens to be the name of my GW2 Ranger's pet polar bear.

The wrinkles are smoothing out but it appears a water drop arrived from somewhere and left a watermark on the tissue so now I'm wondering how to hide that. Waiting for it to dry is the hardest part! I want to keep fiddling (especially since an edge is lifting) but I risk tearing the tissue paper.

I might make a tester out of one of my tiny canvases to see how the tissue handles watercolour paint.
Pssshhh...only weeks! Lol.

But seriously though. I don't do much real art, but I know it can take a lot of time to make. I'm lucky enough to work in a place that does have an artist in residence so I get to see art as it develops and I know that it can be a whole process and can even take many months. I had the honor to get to know our latest A.I.R. fairly well and I got to see the very paintings that are now in one of the galleries develop over the fall and winter and it was really amazing.

But now I'm getting all rambly.
XD
Basically tl;dr: I will wait as long as it takes! I want to see the art!

He's one of my favourite villains, so when I joined gaia, my username was Boris_Badenov. I decided to name my character Boris.

Too many announcements no there, I get annoyed.

I got used to it, but yes, I wish I could turn off notifications.

I'm just lazy, and have more things that I want to do in my spare time than spare time, including being lazy. ;)

Haha...that's also a totally acceptable and valid reason.

The sad thing is I don't work and am not going to school right now, so in fact I have a lot of spare time.

Any my tissue canvas dried nice and smooth. The fold marks are gone, too. Not too happy with how I situated the pattern but oh well. Need to glue the edges down (doing a sort of modge podge with watered down white glue) and hopefully not damage things.

I'm debating if I should go over the tissue with ink or sharpie or cutout silhouettes of something. Thinking a ship.

Oooh...silhouette(s) sound fun!

Sine I've stared getting into more abstract or impressionistic styles of art, I've taken a liking to stark and fine details overtop of bright colour.

I really need to spend some time actually studying and looking at art. I get to look at the stuff in the galleries at work, but al lot of it is kind of the same type of art. Lots of photography and western art stuff.

Where do you work? I sounds interesting if you get to see art and such often. I'm the type to look really closely at paintings and such to see what brush strokes or colours someone might have tried.

I work at a small local contemporary art museum/education center.
We rotate exhibits on the main floor throughout the year, the basement has classrooms as well as a clay room and kiln room, and the second floor is mainly used for rental space for short term and long term rentals.

That sounds cool. I'm going to school for library science and I'm hoping to find a spot in a museum or gallery somewhere while I'm still a student. Not a lot that's easy to get to, though.
