I feel you.

Personally when I make an avatar it's usually something I believe looks good (there are rare occasions when I just get frustrated inbetween and throw some shit together randomly, or save a partly finished avatar just so I can preview how a certain item in shops would look combined with my work-in-progress) and then I don't need other people to tell me it's not nearly as good as I thought. If I didn't enjoy my style, I wouldn't be wearing it in the first place ^^

Btw, I really love your current avi. The outfit is super cute.

I feel frustrated a lot less here than my other avatar customization experiences because the layering is so convenient. Although, it's sometimes a bummer that you need multiples of an item to equip more than one pose.
I expected it to be difficult for me to obtain old items with the small user base, I thought the economy would be controlled by a couple of people or something. But it isn't like that at all. I'm reasonably happy with my pace of acquiring items, and I'm enjoying myself trying to slowly get familiar with them, and playing around with the ones I have.

...this ended up a ramble about nothing particular to do with avatar customization, but well.

Nah, the base modding items don't always perfectly line up with each other, so you have gaps (that are normally covered under clothing)

It all depends on the judges style, for my first two years here I never won a contest even if i entered them all. It drove me nuts but Galla and I have a similar enough preference that we can agree on things. Most avi contests are judged by two people so we don't just pick our favorites cause you all like a certain style of avi.

My favorite number is actually 16, even though it's not very prime at all
