You definitely can drop the anchovies, it also tastes great without them. Half of the kitchen fun is experimenting with recipes anyway. Take away something here, add another thing there, et voila - entirely different result. My famous banana cake comes from an apple cake recipe where one day I didn't have any apples and decided to use squashed banana instead.

Hmm... I should check some of the other sites I occasionally frequent to see if there are Halloween events happening there.
