And the Mad Hatter now as an adult, makes me wonder what the eff I was thinking. He's like 5% away from being a cross-dresser or flaming gay...

@Crystal lmaoooo XD

@Claire I remember the commercials but never went to one. I've never even been to Chuck E Cheese's or anything like that, haha.

omg wow. DZ was wayyyyy better than Chuck E Cheeze. Shame they closed up, wonder what happened that Chuck E Cheeze still exists and a better place doesnt.

in my hometown, Joliet, we have a similar place that is like 'spooky' themed called Haunted Trails. They have minigolf and like i would go there as an adult to play skeeball. i love skeeball.

Never been to a Discovery Zone, but I have been to a Chuck E Cheese's though. One time a couple years ago since there was a birthday party for the neighbor's kid I was invited to. Animatronics are still Nightmare Fuel. I did go to these themed discovery type things though. I even went to a space station simulator type deal. THAT was interesting. We filled out a questionaire type deal to find out where we were better suited and each one of us got a partner and a 'station'. Then we would relay things back to 'Mission control' and all that. It was neat.

I've never played skeeball ;_;

That space simulator sounds fun. :D I don't think I've ever done anything like that.

Do y'all remember the commercials for the Toys R Us Super Toy Runs? I wanted to win it soooo badly https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZ_aY9U9o9w

I read an interview a couple years ago with some of the winners from back then.... ahhh this one: https://tv.avclub.com/i-got-4-bikes-...-re-1798278424

tbh that'd still be a dream come true for me to win that, lmao

YES I DO REMEMBER THE SUPER TOY RUNS I WAS SO JEALOUS OMG
Default #138
I'm pretty sure I still have at least a few dreams a year about winning them even now. XD That'd be the best thing ever, especially as a kid.

I think I remember hearing about these things (or seeing the ads) but never actually having been to one or even seen one. Probably more dominant in the USA I guess, if they were here at all?

We did have a couple of laser tag places, and those token arcades, but that was pretty much it. Poo.

But hey, we all survived Y2K!

i remember being worried about my computer on y2k lmao.

Aw man my sister had that one. ;_; But it's probably long gone now.

2020 may be a difficult year, but I know we can all get through it together.

One of my regular nurses talked about the time he got one of his sons a Furby. The kid wasn't too interested in it at first, so it was in the garage. Everyone was coming home one evening and they heard this little voice "it's cold in here!"

He figured it had turned on (or been left on) and had picked it up from one of the kids.

I got this electronic dog thing that you could talk to and pat (had a button on it's head) and it's eyes would emote. Wouldn't sleep very well though. The idea was to block out light with a cloth. I would cover the thing and stick it in the attic before it would shut up.

I hated things that were seemingly sentient. We had back in the day, a Robie Robot. Not sure any of you remember him. There was also a Robie Jr. Well, those scared the ever living shit out of me, because I didn't know at the time they were remote controlled. So like all of a sudden they'd start moving and I'd freak the fuck out.

(Also had this guy)

I also had one of those pink Barbie convertible electric car things as a kid. My dad made the mistake of leaving it on the reverse before I got into it. I went to drive it, and I go backward and hit something, scaring the shit out of me and then I refused to drive it. I did sit in front of the TV and use it like a drive-in theater type thing lol.
