...Actually, this is basically what I wear on a daily basis, whether it's 20F or 90F. (Not at home, though, because you know how moms are.)

Oh, right. That's the main difference; I have tall brown hiking boots IRL instead of combat boots, because I haven't been able to find any of the latter in my size.

And, uh, the answer to that is, "with difficulty".
