I already feel like it isn't going to hit the iconic status of Simple and Clean simply because it's not as upbeat.

Simple and Clean isn't upbeat, it's slow and steady. It just had a mad remix version that is reused all the time.

Sanctuary is the only one remotely upbeat, yet Simple and Clean is still more popular.

We only heard maybe a minute of the new song and it feels like they cut it out just before it was getting good. x_x

Meh. Call me a weeaboo, but Hikari and Passion are way better. >.> Hikaru speaks/sings English just fine, but the Japanese and English versions of the songs have pretty significantly different lyrics. Simple and Clean barely makes any sense.

True. I like the English versions better just because I can sing along better. I wish she had a better translator though.

Perhaps we have different things we consider upbeat. It has a BPM well over a hundred and fifty, that's pretty upbeat to me.
