Ya know, I'm actually delighted to see people call it the jerk option or totally obvious failure choice. Perfectly illustrates how open minded and respectful this community is, as opposed to other corners of the internet.

That's an interesting take on the topic. Personally I believe kindness requires more self control and attention than full blown jerk mode.

and being nice is difficult sometimes. With some people it's just really easy, but when people make it hard that's when it is especially draining.

For prolonged periods, yes, it is. but for me, being a jerk is harder. it feels wrong, and thus requires more energy.

Nice people are nice to be around. Nice-clingy people are not.

Humans in general are interesting... but I still prefer to be around the nice ones...
