hehe that reminds me of the speech the theater teacher gave last Saturday.
It's the school owner, and he was explaining to us why he doesn't mingle with the so called artistic class of the city. He said they like to act all cool and smart and use fancy words and write long critiques as if that made them artists, not actually performing.

I imagine it goes both ways... those who BS their meaning with art, or those who do it trying to interpret others' works. And then some manage to actually convey a lot of meaning with their art. And maybe then some who just do it without worrying about it.

Yeah, I decided then I'll just never say I'm a philosophy major |D that just reeks of pomposity. Anyone asks, I'm uh. Nothing. No studies. Maybe languages, I could fool them with that.

Doesn't he come across as pompous by not interacting with "them"? I'm sure as they get to know you, that wouldn't be the case.
