I think might even be "have 20 ducks in your inventory", because when I stopped somewhere in the middle to open collected ducks, I didn't get an achievement until I collected 20 more from the pond.

Oh, hm, the most ducks I had in my inventory to date is three. Kind of like having presents to open, some have the patience to wait until they've gotten them alll, some have to open each one as soon as it's in their hands.

xD Just keep rejecting them at the duck pond! You can do it!!!

And then you can open them all at once!!!

Well, I've saved back seven so far, here's hoping I can continue to resist the temptation to open them.

Derpy reaches into the pond and grabs as many as he can, then waddles away with his arms full of ducks.

All the way to an even dozen now. I might pull this off.... wait. *counts again* Yep. Dozen duckies!

Yup, not so hard to accomplish once the prizes start duplicating.
