I did get a comment from the server about being an "artist," and some admiring of my red umbrella, because I felt like sketching this one red umbrella on the outside patio. I picked up a new mini-sketchook but have yet to actually do any of the sketches I planned on. I did some stuff though. Mundanity!

Well I haven't done anything actually related to the event but here's a Syrgei attempt on my tablet before I realized the drivers were probably out of date so pressure sensitivity wasn't working. Looks like Sharpie:

Don't mind the giant GW2 hp dot that is there because I got mad at his legs.

At least you're drawing something. That's a lot better than complete procrastination in my opinion.

Well, first I need to gather more paper and then I'll get to drawing... but I'm being lazy atm uwu

I sat down with the intention of sketching...
I even have two methods of doing. I'll get at least a cursory sketch done (how bad is it that I seem to have gone from drawing to sketching to easy sketching?).

I do the "I'm gonna draw today" a couple of times a week, but I tire so easily that I get very little done.

I mean, learning how to just sketch instead of attempting to make every drawing a finished work is very important.

My main thing to work on is not pressing down so hard... on sketchpads, for a few pages after a drawing, you can feel what I was drawing.
I use They/Them pronouns.

Softer pencils?

I find I'm the sort that just keeps going with a sketch, until it does wind up looking somewhat finished. Then I need to get a fixative or something because smearing.

And I did a couple character sketches today! My wrist is angry at me. Still want to catch up on the drawing I *intended* to do while I was out walking two weeks ago. I do have pictures at least.

even with softer pencils, I press too hard.
