When I trade it doesn't actually take them out of my inventory - is there a failsafe to prevent me from trading more than I have?

don't believe so

There's SUPPOSED to be a failsafe, yes. If the items in the trade aren't there, it's supposed to throw an error stopping you from completing it.

I just cancelled a blank trade from monbon. Accepting it is probably not helpful.

Hmm. If I’m sending multiples... I think one way to try to avoid empty trades is, if you’re sending things to, say, five people, send the item at the top of the list of all the identical items to the first person, then send the second item to the second, etc.

Nope. Been there, tried that. A select few trades still wound up empty.

try sending completely different items to everyone, see what happens?

Next time you see one of these, tell me the trade ID so I can look it up instead of cancelling it.

It's okay monbon, tracking the issue and getting it resolved will surely help the site, so don't feel too bad about the 'blank' trades.
