wormie is too big for the cannon, but don't worry. big means they can keep up with you just fine from the ground.

Hmmm... I will go left. Those noises signal there must be something - let's hope it's something like a gardener with a corn harvester who carves a new exit into the maze, and not a zombie looking for a snack.

You go left and find a Harpy. They ask you a question, guess right and they'll let you go, guess wrong and you'll be eaten.

Heavens. Umm...

I step closer even though I am trembling with fear. "A question so simple and yet surprisingly difficult. How exactly do we define the concept of beauty? Is it the smile of an innocent child, or the curves of a slender woman's body? The leaves turning into shades of red and gold as they get ready to fall down? Do we measure beauty by the number of snowflakes glistening like diamonds in the winter sun? Is it the voice of your mother singing you to sleep with your favorite lullaby? Or would I need to glide through the evening sky and trust the wind beneath my wings to truly appreciate what a precious adventure life can be, even though it may be over every second?"

Carefully I extend a hand towards the harpy. "Especially because it may be over any second. You ask this question, yet for me to answer it I do not have to look at you, but into you. Which... ", I bite my lower lip, "...is hard to do when being afraid. Yes, I admit right now your presence scares me. And nevertheless I believe you're worth getting to know."

I take a deep breath since I know to better choose my next words wisely. "You ask me a question and I owe you an answer. I do not know your definition of pretty, but I feel the answer is important to you. Thus I can't help but wonder why you ask me instead of your own heart. No other person should be the one to decide whether you get to feel precious or inadequate. Maybe this isn't the answer you expect, but it is the best I can give."

At this moment I can't even tell if I'm brave or insane considering my next request. Still I step even closer, search and hold the harpy's gaze. "Allow me to ask a question as well now. What is your name?"

I'm ending the corn maze now but if you didn't make it but kept trying the whole event I'm awarding full candy anyway!
