Beast wants coffee flavored popsicles, but no bowl of hard boiled eggs with mayonnaise. Well, I guess it only eats stuff that's three words. Hence why the boulder looked way more appealing.

Death by Mirrors feeds the beast a book of manners. The beast gobbles all the pages and then thanks everyone politely for the offers, even if they didn't fit the beast's current appetite. Afterwards it trods back into its cave for a nap.
