Frostpunk is a really good game and experience and I’ve realized how easy it is to fall from your planned egalitarian state into a totalitarian regime, complete with spies, interrogations, and public executions solely for the purpose of quelling dissenters.

Uncomfortable realization that I like staying in character as CRT because it’s easier to just deal with everything from a purely logical standpoint, without all the human emotions. Facts, facts, facts. Objectivity only, no need for subjective opinions. Only data necessary is the data from solid facts and numbers.

As CRT, I can be as blunt as I want, relying solely on what I know and not what I feel, and in the same way, nothing can ever much hurt my feelings because he can’t be arsed to waste energy feeling insulted. He just sifts through whatever he’s given and disposes of the emotions.

It’s easier that way. Why doesn’t everyone communicate this way? It would make for fewer misunderstandings.
