Yeah...as an introvert with social anxiety issues, it's really hard for me to actually meet other people. Or to feel comfortable asking them about d&d (or other games). XP
There is a game shop close to my apartment (one of the benefits of living downtown, there's always stuff nearby), but I don't really go there. Except on rare occasion that I'm hanging out with 1 of my 2 friends.

That's a mood, it took a lot for me to even GET into D&D, and i have wanted to for years beforehand. I still get anxious in new groups or when new players are brought in, and boy am i anxious when i DM.

I think playing has helped me a lot when it comes to my own social anxiety. but that's just me tbh. Stuff's different for everyone.

Kinda don't have the money for dyes yet. Because, unfortunately, the koolaid and food coloring dye cheats only work on animal fibers (wool mainly) and embroidery floss is usually cotton or sometimes silk.

But I can do some really pretty things woth wool and koolaid... >.>

I do plan on pricing out dyes just for the black and rust color that sis wants (might need to mix a rust color, so it could get pricy), but I am definitely charging. Family or no, she said "comission" and I need money. XD

Money si money, though oof, yeah dyes can get pricy.
I went and looked myself.
Oof

Yeah. There is a multipack that I saw online for around $13, and it looked nice, but it doesn't have the shades I need (it is mostly very vibrant color, though they can be diluted with water to make them lighter/more pastel) and color mixing can be tricky if you can't afford to do a lot of experimenting.
Found some Rit dye color formulas, so I'll try to figure out the price for what all I think I'll need.

Good luck

I think you got this!

I honestly don't know if Joann even carries all the dye colors I'll need to make a decent rust color, but mainly I just want to check pricing today.

check prices, write them down, maybe price compare.

I mean....at Joann, I get employee discount, which can be a big help...
>.>
I should find and check my recent ad, because I know there will be a sale on embroidery floss coming up.

Ooh...I wonder if I could just dye black on a rust colored floss or if the colored flosses would be too resistant to dyeing.

Oooh employee discount!

Well, we don't necessarily have all the colors I would need to make a good rust color (based on the Rit dye color mixing chat on their website), but the powder dye is fairly cheap, so depending on how many colors I need, I might be able to get some supplies (and maybe some yarn) with my reward coupon next weekend and pick up the others at...walmart maybe or another craft store. Depends on where I can find the cokors I need.
