Yeah, I was really skeptical about it at first, because... you know, as a queer POC, queer stuff written by a white dude triggers a fight-or-flight response, but... I'm really happy w how it turned out. There was a lot of intersectionality without the author getting up on a soapbox, and I appreciate that.

Yeah it was very nice and it had a reference to Tammie Brown, which is always a plus.

mdom: The way she calls people out is very childish and aggressive even if there is some truth to it. I get wanting to tell people the hard truth because it can help their personal growth or to prevent them from manipulating others. But if she actually cared about them, I would think it should be uncomfortable (not really the word I'm looking for) to criticize them like that. But I don't get that from Yvie, it seems more about riling people up? And when they wind up becoming defensive because of the manner in which she called them out, she winds up resorting to insults and not making any attempt to listen. Other contestants have been guilty of the same thing, though.
