My only pride item right now is a GQ flag beanie. Which is funny because it's none of the colors are explicitly things I *wouldn't* wear, so my parents are none the wiser.

I don't actually own any pride items. Idk...like...I am what I am, so I don't really feel the need to show that in my clothes or decor. But that could also be because I don't really have any friends or a group irl that I can relate to/feel a part of.
Like, I have 1 local rl friend that I tried to explain ace/aro to, but he still doesn't get it and still occasionally makes jokes/comments that are fairly ignorant and make me uncomfortable and is just like "but that's just who I am, I can't change" so...I am pretty much still in the closet irl I guess. Because it's easier than trying to explain.

Buhhhh. Sorry to hear. I was super lucky in that, I got interested in CMUKGB *before* college even started, and then this merry band of misfits and miscreants turned out to be largely queer. Like, second after the ALLIES group on campus, we probably had the highest density of queer kids. And seeing someone come out really boosts your own confidence.

It's fine. I don't really have many rl friends anyway because I tend to be pretty anti-social *coughSOCIALANXIETYTOTHEMAXcough* and only meet people through work. And never hang out ever. So...like even just making friends in general is hard for me, let alone finding a group of supportive people. So I stick with online friends who, generally, have been far more open and accepting.
