What country was responsible for the creation of the dreaded Red Devils?

Red Devil, singular, is Richthofen, but we’re talking plural, so...

...Japan...? Squadron of soldiers who wore armor that was painted red to scare the enemy?

Are you sure you're not thinking of Manfred von Richthofen, the Red Baron? Unfortunately, I couldn't find the meaning of the name Richthofen, but "red devil" in German is roter Teufel (singular).

"House Fire Girl became a meme almost overnight. What is this meme's most common usage?"

I think usually involves finding a spider and then burning down the whole house to kill it.

What country was responsible for the creation of the dreaded Red Devils?

(Okay, kinda guessing) Great Britain. I'm thinking its the British air infantry from World War 2.

Okay, so I don't know how I got forty questions last night. Numbers are not my friend. I'll be dropping another section today. I appreciate y'all putting up with my oversights!
Just working out the kinks, we'll be running smoothly soon. As always, open to suggestions so I can get these done in advance.

They were generally plainclothes police/detectives who wore shoes that had rubber soles, which reduced the sound made by walking around (or sneaking around).
